I'm from Kentucky. So almost as far east as I could be while staying in the US.
But Florida has been as cold as Oregon the past few days. : )

Hello from Wisconsin!
I just rejoined WW this past Wednesday. Hoping to lose the weight I gained over this long cold winter. Glad to have found this site!
I just wanted to say hello!
Hi all.....
I am new here, but not to WW.....Just happened to be googling and found this site!
welcome
I've used WW intermittently for the past 35 years. I always return to it as it works the best. I just found this site. I'm in Arizona.
Hi, I'm new too. Just started WW and hope to learn and lose.
Does anyone know of an online tracker besides WW?
Try Nutrimirror.com
Hi just joined; from Minnesota.
Hello! I just joined, live in southern Ohio. Interested in losing quite a bit of weight and looking for all the help I can get. Somebody please tell me how to stop eating so much!!!!!! Mother of two, married, and also have two stepsons. I work full-time, sitting on my butt all day, and don't have much time for myself in the evenings! Any suggestions on quick simple foods for myself and how I can squeeze in exercise sometime during the week???
welcome aboard! I don't eat at home much but when I do I find chex mix is a great snack. I like to get california pizza kitchen pizzas from the freezer section at the super market. They taste just as good as the restaurant and aren't too bad on calories/points. Exercise is a tough one. There is a never a good time. I have just decided that I am going to exercise everyday and it has really helped. You get to eat more when you exercise. I'm sure you have heard that logging your calories or points is very important. I have recently realized that keeping a record of exactly what I eat is the key for me. I become very committed to making sure the log looks good. Good luck!
Hi there Ohio, I am from Key Largo, Florida. There is no trick to losing weight. If you follow the WW plan, YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT. Planning is important! You need the RIGHT FOOD to get going. Throw out all your junk and start fresh!! Pack your lunch to work and make sure you have enough snacks so that you never run out. Don't let yourself get hungry. After a week, you will see that you are not as hungry as you used to be. This program has to consume you....let it be top priority in your life and don't let excuses stop you from sticking to it!!! If you bite it, write it. Journal everything you eat, so that you will know if its working or not, and someone else can see it and catch any mistakes that you may be making. Drink lots of water. Get support from the whole family, so that you can get 30 minutes to yourself on a daily basis (if possible) if not, then be creative by taking stairs, parking farther away, dancing, anything that will burn calories. Can't you see yourself looking better already!!! You can do this if you truly want it!!! Good luck!!
Aloha! Greetings from the Big Island of Hawaii. I'm a newbie to this site but not to WW. I have been at goal for 10 years after losing 95 pounds on Weight Watchers. Biggest advice to new people on the program (Tip 1) is to make the "Free Soup," the 0 Point vegetable soup. Make a large vat once or twice a week and keep it in the fridge. When you feel the munchie crunchies, serve up a few cups and microwave. Takes the edge off the ravenous hunger. Another tip for afternoon snack attacks (Tip 2): back up an hour prior to the usual "red zone" and have 2-points of nuts (9 almonds, 16 peanuts, 5 walnuts, etc.). Drink with water and wait. The oil and protein will curb the hunger pangs. Nice. Tip 3: Before you indulge in whatever chocolate/cheesy/fried food treat, drink a cup of green tea, a cup of water, and force yourself to wait 20 minutes. The average craving only lasts about 12 minutes and by stalling, you might very well outlast the craving. ~good luck!
look on line for slow cooker ww recipes they are easy and it is nice to come home to dinner all ready.
I am from southern Ohio too! I am a mother of two young children, I have a husband, and I work a full time desk job as well! There is no magic trick. You have to want this. And want it bad!! Weight Watchers has always worked for me. Since January, I have lost 50lbs. BUT.... I also go to the gym six days a week. I know that sounds unrealistic, but I am telling you...there is no better feeling than surprising yourself by doing something that you never thought you could do!! I have not ran since high school. I ran a mile last week with my son. We are training for the flying pig (it's a marathon, in case you aren't aware of it already) next year. Starting at the beginning of the year, I couldn't even go up my stairs without getting winded! As far as eating, stick to weight watchers, they do help. And a good rule of thumb is to look at your plate for your biggest meals and do 75% fruits and veggies, 15% protein, and 10% grains. In no time, you will feel amazing. I had to get rid of the excuses that were causing me to fail. I am only 1/3 to my goal weight, but I never thought I would get this far. :)
Hi there! I've just joined WW myself - my problem is portion size and eating out way too much due to convenience. I don't have any tips yet on that however, my workout story is below:
After being promoted two years ago at work - 20 pounds has somehow "snuck" on. I am a working mother and I just kept making excuses not to go to the gym because I felt guilty for having my son in daycare all day and only having an hour to spend with him at home before bedtime at night - when really it was simply a lazy excuse because the gym I was a member of was filled with college students who are all young and beautiful. Not an encouraging atmosphere. Being three, my son is so busy he doesn't have time for "mom" anyhow.
Finally - I found a gym that was women only who had a child care facility right inside. So Monday-Thursday I pack a gym bag and an extra lunch for my son and right after work when I pick him up we go right to the gym. I even change into my work out clothes before I pick him up so the last minute excuses won't sneak in.
This has become a life-style change of ours for the past two months and is working out great. My son loves the room - and all the new attention he's receiving by the ladies and I can sweat the stress of the day out right there and not even have to bring it into the house. In my opinion this has made me a better mom - because it's now "quality" time I can spend with the family opposed to how frustrated/upset I used to be.
I do understand that this will not work for everyone's schedule - but definitely "scheduling" gym time and making sure everyone in the family knows that is your time will make a difference. After a few weeks it will feel less like a chore and simply routine.
Hope that helps in some way. Good luck with your journey!
I just joined and this looks like a fun site to be. I'm saying hello from the Big Sky Country, Montana!
i was just in montana about a month ago.

Hello everyone, I'm new too.
Hello Erv from Milwaukee Wi. Great site. Hoping not tho shell out the money for WW online. How do I figure out my points base on my wieght?
Latest from the Momentum Program:
Add up the points for the following 6 questions for your daily Points Target. Make sure to eat all these Points each day and reevaluate your points with every 10-pounds lost. If your total is less than 18, your daily Points Target is 18. Points Target maxes out at 44.
1) What do you weigh? Enter the first two digits of your weight in pounds. For example, if you weigh 175, enter 17.
2) Are you:
Female: 2
Male: 8
3) How old are you?
17-26: 4
27-37: 3
38-47: 2
48-58: 1
Over 58: 0
4) How tall are you?
Under 5'1": 0
5'1" to 5'10": 1
Over 5'10": 2
5) How do you spend the majority of your day?
Sitting down (office work, couch, etc.): 0
Occasionally sitting, but mainly standing (sales, mom, etc.): 2
Walking (postal carrier, etc.): 4
Doing physically hard work (construction, etc.): 6
6) For nursing moms only, are you:
Solely breastfeeding: 10
Sup0plementing breastfeeding with some solids/formula: 5
--------------
Add together all points for daily Points Target. Don't forget, you also get 35 "bonus" points per week to spend as you choose... or not. Make sure to track all of your points. Most people lose weight by tracking and drinking more water alone.
Good luck. You can do it.
95 pounds down after 10 years!
I am new to this! Can anyone tell me how to calculate my points I need everyday?
I'm from Michigan.
Hi everybody! My name is Poppy. I'm from Atlanta, Georgia. I joined WW Friday. I've already dropped 3 pounds. It feels so good to see the scale go backwards, even if it is just a small amount. I still have a long way to go.
Whenever I get to thinking say 3 lbs is a small loss I look at that blob of fat that weighs a pound and then 5 lbs and it is a big bite off our bodies! And the pants and stuff fit way better! Good job!
Every little bit counts. Just joined a week ago in Lafayette LA and lost 6.6 lbs first week. Real excited. But need to be patient and determined to persevere.
I have done the weight watchers many times over the last 15 years i can lose it but i always put it back on i never quite make my goal and usualy burn out 10 pounds before my target weight. I hope this time it goes better i want to be a lifetime member.
